Welcome to LearnFlow AI ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service"). By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Our Privacy-First Architecture
LearnFlow AI is designed with your privacy as a top priority. We do not have traditional user accounts and we do not operate central servers that store your personal data or course content. All data required for the application to function is stored directly on your device within your web browser's local storage capabilities.
2. Information You Provide
When you use our Service, you provide the following information, which is stored locally on your device:
- API Key: To use the free tier of our Service, you must provide your own API key from a third-party AI provider (e.g., Google Gemini). This key is stored in your browser's `localStorage` and is accessed by the application to make calls directly from your browser to the AI provider. It is never sent to or stored on our servers.
- Course Content: All courses you create, including titles, descriptions, lesson plans, and generated content, are stored in your browser's IndexedDB. This data remains on your computer.
3. How We Use Your Information
The application uses the information stored in your browser solely to:
- Provide and operate the core functionality of the Service.
- Enable AI-powered features by making direct calls to your chosen AI provider using your API key.
- Persist your created courses and learning progress between sessions on your own device.
In addition, we collect certain data for analytics purposes as described below.
4. Analytics Data
To help us understand how our Service is used and to improve it, we collect the metadata related to the courses you create. This includes the course title, description, duration, and tutor settings. **We do not collect or store the AI-generated lesson content, summaries, quizzes, or Q&A sessions.** The analytics data is used solely for internal purposes to identify popular topics, improve course generation, and enhance the overall user experience.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not share your information with any third parties. However, when you use the Service, your browser makes direct requests to the third-party AI provider (e.g., Google) using your API key. The data you submit for course and lesson generation is processed by that provider. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies and terms of service, which includes the enforcement of their content safety policies. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party AI providers.
6. Your Control and Data Rights
You have complete control over your data. You can manage, view, and delete your information at any time by using your web browser's developer tools to clear `localStorage` and `IndexedDB` for our website. Clearing your browser's site data will permanently remove your API key and all created courses.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us, and we will guide you on how to remove it from the browser's storage.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
9. Contact Us
